The Chairman of the City of Arlington Landmark Preservation Commission is seeking owners of 1940's, 1950's or very early 60's Convertible, Cabriolet, or Targa type cars that would like to participate be chauffeuring several of the Commissioners in the Parade. They need anywhere from 3 to 5 vehicles, depending upon the size of the vehicles involved. They are coordinating a three-week coast-to-coast hot rod rally and are hoping for 50+ cars on a coast-to-coast road trip beginning in Ocean City, Maryland and ending in Sacramento, California. Travelers provide their own mode of transportation and plan their own daily schedules and activities but have pre-arranged accommodations and are provided a trip coordinator to assist with any problems along the way.
